Why we exist
Experience changes how you look at project delivery.
Working in Australia's renewable-energy industry has shown us both what the industry can achieve and where customers, retailers and project owners can be exposed when delivery standards break down.
We have encountered poor professional practices, faulty or unsuitable products, installations that did not meet the standard expected of professional tradespeople, retailers that failed to deliver equipment customers had purchased and paid for, products whose approval or eligibility status changed, and manufacturers or suppliers that subsequently entered administration.
These experiences shaped the Bagatelle Group.
They reinforced a simple principle: renewable energy requires more than selling equipment. Good outcomes depend on informed decisions, appropriate due diligence, clear accountability, competent delivery partners and communication that continues through to completion.

Founder
Systems thinking applied to renewable energy.
Founder Paul Barnes came to renewable energy after more than three decades working across technology, systems design, business development and operational leadership.
His practical background also includes marine and off-grid electrical systems, remote living and hands-on experience with energy systems outside conventional grid environments.
After moving into the renewable-energy industry, his focus increasingly became the gap between selling an energy system and successfully delivering one. That experience became part of the foundation for both Bagatelle Energy and Bagatelle Home.
